Your workout has been validated. Workouts that are unvalidated will show up on the leaderboard but will not count towards their points until it is validated
The team scoring will take the top 15 scores in each category in the box. You can help your team being a top 15 performer, getting all you bonus points and having a top 15 diet, regardless of losing weight or inches.
You can complete of the Benchmark Phase 1 WOD (1) at whatever level you choose. Then in the Benchmark Phase 2 portion of the Challenge, you must perform the benchmark WOD (2) at the same level you did it in the Phase 1. This will give a statistical comparison for improvement, thus creating improvement rankings resulting in being rewarded improvement points.
Also note that in order to be eligible for either Phase 1 or Phase 2 performance prizes you must, however, complete the benchmark workout at the same skill level.
Mini WODs can all be completed at any level independent of each other.
We have all the WODs set and scheduled. You won't have to worry about making anything up. They have to be standardized across the board in order to create a fair scoring system. We will announce those to the affiliate owners during the registration period before so you can incorporate them into your programming, but we won't be announcing the to the competitors until Sunday night entering each week.
Entry Fees are non-refundable, as a portion of each registration is donated to charity.
You will be eligible for all perfomance prizes if you video submit all of your workouts. You will need a registered affiliate to validate your body measurements and weight in order to be eligible for the individual grand prizes.
Points are run once per day and will be reflected the next day.
The challenge begins January 19th, 2015 at 12:00 AM EST and ends February 22nd, 2015 at 11:59 PM EST.

The Lurong Living Resolution Challenge is a proven system for creating life transformation and improved performance. The Challenge gives you and your affiliate the structure, technology, motivation, education, competition, and accountability to see real and quantifiable results. Compete as an individual, and as an affiliate team against CrossFitters Nationwide and make your resolutions a reality.

During the 5 week Challenge you will be earning points through tracking your diet, performing 2 Benchmark WODS, tracking personal resolutions, trying new recipes, and ultimately making improvements in your body measurements and performance. We will release the WOD to affiliates before the challenge begins. Athletes will record their results in the Challenge system. Affiliates will be judging the benchmark WODS according to our standards, and validating the entries in the Challenge system.

Affiliates will also take before and after body measurements which will be recorded and validated in the system. Throughout the challenge athletes will be tracking how healthy their daily diet is for each of the 6 time periods. The diet consist of 4 levels (Cheat, Starter, Pro, Elite) and you be responsible for entering which diet level you fall under for each meal. The Benchmark WOD has 3 Skill levels so you are sure to have an option that will be appropriate for you. This will challenge you to go farther, push harder, and dig deeper. It doesn't matter if you have any experience with the dieting or not. We will provide you with educational articles, nutritional tips, and recipes to help you establish a new lifestyle.

Yes. See Official Rules for more information. We have a 2 bench mark workouts which will be completed by everyone in the challenge. Each of the workouts will have 3 Levels of Difficulty to choose from: Level III, Level II, or Level I. Level III (L3) is the most physically demanding and Level I (L1) is the least.

Here is the basic Schedule for the Challenge:

  1. Challenge starts January 19th, 2015. The Challenge will last five (5) weeks and is broken down into 3 Phases.
  2. Phase 1 occurs during the first week of the Challenge and will require Participants to complete 1 bench mark WOD (1) along with recording their Body Measurements and weight. Starting from the 1st day of the Challenge, Daily Diet Compliance will be open for submission.
  3. Phase 2 consists of the three (3) weeks in the middle of the Challenge. During Phase 2 Participants will have the option to complete our Mini WOD challenges. There will be 1 WOD per week along with tracking diet, setting and tracking resolutions, answering the lifestyle markers, submitting new recipes, and any other open and uncompleted requirements. You are not required to participate in the mini WOD challenges, but can earn bonus points for completing them. They can be done on your own with video submission.
  4. Phase 3 is the last week (1) of the Challenge. During this phase Participants will be completing 1 bench mark WOD (WOD 2) along with retaking Body Measurements, submitting testimonials, tracking resolutions, diet, and any other open items.
  5. Challenge Ends February 22th, 2015.
Performance prizes are awarded to the top performers in each region, division, and skill level. (6 divisions, 3 regions, and 3 skill levels for a total of 54 winners). You must also submit a video for prize validation. For the Mini WOD challenges this is pretty straight forward. Complete more reps than anyone else in your division, region, and skill level.
For Benchmark Phase 1 (WODs 1) and Benchmark Phase 2 (WODs 2) this works a little differently. To win a Benchmark Phase performance prize you must perform all each WOD at the same skill level. Your score is the total number of reps completed during the WOD. You must also submit a video for all workouts.
First off, don't write yourself off yet. Stay disciplined, work hard, and watch how far you will come in just 5 weeks. You might just surprise yourself with all the prizes that are available. Check out all the early bird, individual and team prizes here! Even if you don't win any of the big prizes or performance prizes there are still plenty of benefits for you to take advantage of. You are getting nutritional advice and tips, participate in our community forum, view and share recipes, learn and interact with our in-house experts, plus you are getting access to our software which gives you structure, education, tracking, nationwide leader board, and the tools you need to reach your goals. Also, affiliates with 20 or more athletes will be receiving a Lurong Living prize package. These prizes will awarded at the affiliates discretion, but you'll have the opportunity to win some cool gear just by being the best in your box.
We are sad to say, NO. In fact, we encourage participation in the CrossFit Kids program. However, for this challenge we are not able to have minors participate. We won't get into the legal reasons, but please know that if we could have included teenagers we would have. Every consideration was made to ensure a safe, healthy, and successful experience for everyone.
Unfortunately, with a competition on this scale, our legal team forced us to keep everything as standardized as possible, so we are only allowed to let official CrossFit Affiliates register as a team. If you'd like to sign up as an individual competitor, we'd love to have you. Please note that, you'll be able to follow along and win performance prizes with video submission. But, without being under a registered affiliate, validation for body measurements and weight can't be properly authorized. Therefore, those scores can't reflect in your overall final score to win prizes. It pains us not to officially let everyone join. Please accept our apology, as we are not supporting an elitist mentality, rather we are trying to run the best event possible within the confines we are allowed.

The 2015 Lurong Living Resolution Challenge is not labeling any workout as RX (Prescribed) or scaled as our goal is to provide Challenges and opportunities for all Participants. We don't want the name of the level of a workout to affect how a participant looks at the workout. Push yourself, challenge yourself, and don't put yourself in a box defined by a label.

Consult with your level 1 certified trainer or owner to see if you are capable, healthy, and experienced enough to complete your preferred level. We encourage you to push yourself, but do so with caution. Remember, there are many ways to earn points in this Challenge. No points are worth an injury. If you are not certain you can finish a WOD at a higher level you may choose to try your best. If for some reason you do not or are not able finish the WOD with a final score that you like, you may then complete the WOD at a lower level and record that score on your Challenge Platform.

Unfortunately, the 2015 Lurong Living Resolution Challenge is limited to the US at this time. Yes, you are eligible to compete in the challenge even if you are the only one participating. You will still have to get your affiliate to register in order to validate your scores, and body measurements to be eligible for the main prizes. You can also register with out an affiliate but without official validation you can only follow along. However, performance prizes can still be award with video submission.
On the calendar EDT stands for Eastern Daylight Time. That is the same as Eastern Time. All times in this challenge will go off of EDT/EST
We developed the Lurong Living Resolution Challenge to be a service to affiliate owners. Our goal is to create the platform, structure, and motivation to unify your members without being a burden on you. There are a few things you will have to do. First, register your affiliate at no cost. Next, spread the word to your clients so you can get as many people registered as possible. You will also be responsible to taking body measurements and validating both measurements and benchmark WOD scores. All validation will be done simply through your affiliate account created at registration. Finally, you can focus on doing what you do best: coaching, inspiring, encouraging, and motivating your clients. AND you can register yourself as a competitor just like your clients.
The registration fee for all athletes who are participating for their first time is $45. There are discounts that may be applied upon athlete registration starting December 1st, 2015. These discounts will be based on our rewards program: if you have an existing subscription for Lurong Living Essential or if you start a subscription with your registration. We are also offering an additional discount if you are a returning Challenge participant from last year's Paleo Challenge. If you are an active Lurong Living customer and participated in the 2014 Lurong Living Paleo Challenge your registration fee will be as low as $20!
Everyone will register for the 2015 Lurong Living Resolution Challenge at If you participated last year use your same email address and it will recognize you as returning athlete and apply your discount. You cannot log in to the 2015 site until you are registered.
No. One of the primary goals of the challenge is to encourages you to eat whole foods. Whole foods have complex nutritional composition are always your best food source. We have not found any meal replacement shakes which contain zero artificial ingredients, preservatives, sugar (natural or artificial), or any other banned ingredients. There is no man made product that can take the place of natural food. Therefore, stick with whole foods during the challenge, so you can learn and practice living healthy.
If you don't eat during one of the six periods of the day then there is no cheat. The time periods are Breakfast, Morning, Lunch, Afternoon, Dinner, and Evening. If you only eat 3 times per day with no snack and didn't cheat during those meals than you have a perfect score for the day.

Ibuprofen and prescriptions medications are allowed during the challenge. Please do not make any changes to your prescription drugs or other doctor recommendations without first discussing with your doctor.

For the Elite level, unsweetened Almond or coconut milk is a great substitute. No dairy or sugar. We are allowing up to 1 total tbsp. daily of natural sweeteners such as agave or coconut nectar or 1 pack (3.5 grams) of Stevia per day is allowable. Finally, you can use ghee and use a blender to make a rich texture. For Pro or Starter, you can add dairy and approved natural sweeteners, but you may not use sugar or artificial sugar.

In general, we recommend that athletes fulfill their nutritional needs from whole foods. However there are exceptions that we encourage athletes to take either as an insurance policy or to provide nutrients that are not available or not easily available in even the healthiest of diet. Some supplement recommendations include a muli-vitamin, fish oil, Lurong Living Essential, etc. We also have specific rules for protein supplementation.

Protein Shake Supplementation-

  • Elite-1 serving of your choice of Protein Powder supplementation if it is taken within 30 minutes post- workout. It cannot be used as a meal replacement or used in any manner other than as a post WOD Protein Supplement. A pure egg white or hemp protein with no added sugar or other banned items would not be held to the same limitation. The allowance does provide the ability to have 1 whey protein supplement even if it is sweetened with sugar or other unapproved sweetener.
  • Pro and Starter- Athletes may have one protein supplement that contains whey or sweeteners per workout they perform. This allows athletes who are either training with multiple sessions per day or participating in a competition to use extra protein supplementation. It may not be used as a meal replacement.

Another key is to make sure that other supplements don't have any added sugar, artificial, sweeteners, artificial flavors, artificial colors.

There are two different types of moderation foods in the Challenge: moderation in general, and specific moderation. Moderation in general means that it is not a cheat for the challenge, but we encourage it to be used in moderation so that you experience the best results at the end of the Challenge. For example, almonds and other nuts are in moderation because they are high in fat. Specific moderation items have a quantifiable limit and rule allowing it to not be classified as a cheat. For example, red wine is in moderation specifically with the guideline of 6 oz with dinner. If you go over a specific limit with this type of item then it would become a cheat.
Each participant must have their affiliate owner or level 1 certified CF trainer register the affiliate in order for validation to be possible. The owner/trainer must judge all workouts and take the body measurements and weight. The owner/trainer will then be responsible for logging into their affiliate account to validate the contestants' WOD Scores/Times, body measurements and weight. The affiliate owner/trainer is not responsible for entering the data as this will be done by the contestant on their dashboard.
