Week 1: What to Expect and Lifestyle Focus

This Challenge has been an amazing experience. Not only have I lost the weight I've been trying to lose over the past 3 years, but I feel fantastic! I have more energy, I feel stronger, and I can see the difference when I look in the mirror. This has been a life changing experience. I will continue to be vigilant about what I am eating so I can continue to feel as awesome as I do. I am also super proud of myself for putting in the work and showing my kids what a healthy, happy, and strong mom can do!

Video Series Part 1: Setting Yourself Up for Success

Lurong Living will be bringing you a 5-part video series to help you better understand the Challenge and how to get the most out of your experience. The first video talks about getting rid of tempting foods to set yourself up to succeed for the rest of the Challenge.
I really enjoyed this Challenge. It helped me concentrate on my eating habits and how I can make better selections when I'm not at home. I pay way more attention now to food labeling and try to eat as many unprocessed foods as I can. Keeping a journal of what I was eating was really helpful for keeping me in line. I would definitely recommend this for my friends and family next year!

What Makes a Good New Year's Resolution

A New Year’s resolution can start you on the path to achieving your goals and making positive changes, both in the year to come and for the rest of your life. But even with good intentions, many resolutions fail. Learning how setting good goals can help you stick with your resolution and achieve success.
If you want to feel good, look great, and have a fun time doing it, the Lurong Living Challenge is for you! Early on in the 6-week Challenge, it is difficult to overcome bad diet and exercise habits, but it becomes easier and easier with each passing week, especially with the help of your peers doing the Challenge alongside you. I feel better physically and mentally as a result and have greater confidence. I do not want to forget how good I felt during the Challenge and would like this to continue even after the Challenge concludes.

I joined the Lurong Living Challenge this year for two reasons: 1) I appreciate the sense of community created by challenges/competitions like this, and 2) I typically eat clean, but I wanted to see the effects of this type of diet combined with a CF workout schedule. For starters: I would absolutely recommend this to others. I think people get scared away by diets or eating programs because they don't set timelines. Six weeks is doable. As for as the community angle - I loved how it brought more of a social dynamic to our box. We planned workouts together, shared meal ideas, and made this competitive in a fun and friendly way. It's been a great experience and I look forward to continuing to apply what I've learned in this time.

I would recommend this Challenge to anyone who needs a restart to their diet. This Challenge helped me refocus and put myself and mu health first. I'm planning on maintaining all of the changes I've incorporated over the last 6 weeks. I am leading by example and this Challenge gave me the tools I need to keep on track.

The Resolution Challenge - A Good Place to Start

With the holidays and the New Year fast approaching, the time for thinking about your resolutions for 2019 is right around the corner. Lurong Living is looking forward to helping you accomplish more of your fitness goals in 2019 than any year before. We all need to know where to start and may need a little help along the way. Start your 2019 off right with the Resolution Challenge.
This was a great experience. Everyone should try this Challenge at least 1 time. The food was challenging but worth it! I travel a lot and this Challenge helped me learn to make better choices when going out to dinner and learning that I don't need all of those extras. Eating clean is great, but portion control is even better.

I was very skeptical that I wouldn’t lose a lot of weight. I am pleasantly surprised I was able to lose as much as I did. I have always been active at the gym but watching what you eat definitely has ramifications. Thank you for having this. It was a great, positive experience!

I would definitely recommend Lurong Living Challenges to those that are looking for a healthy lifestyle. If you are a competitive person by nature then it’s even better because you’ll compete with yourself and others to not cheat yourself. All around I feel healthier and have more energy and definitely want to keep up with the eating plan. I would definitely recommend this to others and will do it again!
